Before each level, the player gets to choose which character to use with which ship. Enhancing their abilities and playing to a ship’s strength or lessening their weaknesses.

In the levels, everything happens in simultaneous turns. Player and AI choose their moves and then execute in same time.

Player controls ships by dragging from their location forward, and ships have a limited movement arc that can only move inside that. The ships have canons on them which are normally on the sides, and have a range that when opponent ships enter those range, they start shooting.

When choosing a ship, a dock UI appears at the bottom of the screen, indicating all the abilities and their cooldowns (if remaining).

Maps will have fog of war so player’s vision will be limited from AI’s movements.

Ships

Ships each have multiple attributes. While some stay the same during a game, or are the same for all ships, some can change (like health). All attributes are modifiable by a crew member.

Health:

Health determines how many shots each ship can take and if health reaches 0, the ship sinks.

Dodge Chance:

How much chance (in %) does this ship have to dodge an incoming fire by another ship. Should be in line with a ship’s size.

Acceleration:

The amount that the speed can increase in a single turn. It’s normally a static number for a ship during a game, however

Top Speed:

The maximum speed a ship can get. Which is the range it can take during their movement.
